Who is Lucifer? Who is this terrifying creature with many faces and names? However you call him —Lucifer, Satan, Beelzebub, the Antichrist, etc.— even his names can send a chill down anyone’s spine. He is the personification of evil. He was an angel that became so proud that he wanted to replace god. In the zeal of his egotistical ambitions, he rebelled against god, and he lost.
Lucifer is an important figure because he has a lot in common with humans: they are both god’s greatest creations, both of them disobeyed god and were exiled from Eden which resulted in them struggling to survive in a hostile environment on their own. However, people are more likely to succeed in returning to paradise by doing their best to be fair and good to one another; even by showing sympathy to creatures like Lucifer.
